The Supporting young women who have experienced female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) project was funded through the FGM Support Grant from the Australian Government, Department of Health. The overall aim of the project was to explore experiences of young women (18-25 years old) from FGM/C affected communities to determine ways to develop, improve and deliver support services that are culturally and age appropriate, and increase understanding of FGM/C and its consequences.
This report proposes a range of future considerations for all those who work with young women who have experienced FGM/C, to support development and improvement of services for this group of women. The report can be downloaded below.
