VIDS Telehealth Clinic open on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays afternoons. Patients can be seen either completely via Telehealth or as a combination of Telehealth and in person. All your practice needs is a computer with a webcam and speaker/microphone and a reasonable speed internet connection (>500kps upload and download), VIDS will provide software support. VIDS are able to organise a practice session for first referrals, before booking the patient. Medicare has financial incentives for Telehealth when the GP or practice Nurse sits with the patient during the consultation. If an interpreter is needed they will be booked to sit in at the VIDS end (Melbourne).
