This resource summarised a series of dialogues with over 1,000 refugee, asylum-seeking and internally displaced women and girls in seven countries around the world. Held in both urban and camp settings, the Dialogues were organised between November 2010 and May 2011 in India, Colombia, Jordan, Uganda, Zambia, Thailand and Finland as part of a programme of activities to commemorate 60 years of the UN Refugee Convention.
The Dialogues built on UNHCR’s Five Commitments to Refugee Women and Girls.
This report details, in their own voices, the stories of women and girls and the strategies that they identified to address the numerous rights abuses that women of refugee backgrounds face.
