Refugee Health Nurse- Dental Programs

Refugee health nurses are located at various community health services, some of those have public dental programs.

It can be beneficial to refer people seeking asylum to the refugee health programs (RHPs) as they can provide ongoing support, advocacy and follow up for health issues. People can be referred to the program that is closest to their residential address. How to refer is listed below.

The list of Melbourne-metro Refugee Health Programs are as below:

East – EACH

Catchment area – Yarra Ranges, Maroondah, Knox, Whitehorse, Manningham, Stonington,

City of Monash– Glen Waverley, Mount Waverley

West – IPC

Catchment area – Wyndham, Hobson’s Bay, Brimbank

Catchment area- Maribyrnong, Melbourne, Moonee Valley, Yarra.

Catchment area – Melton, Moorabool, Caroline Springs

Referrals requiring urgent attention must be discussed with Nurse on Triage, Ph 9792 8100. This number should also be used for escalation or secondary consultation
