Family violence
Immigrant women subject to family violence are a vulnerable group who may have difficulties seeking assistance. Working with families from refugee backgrounds in which domestic violence is occurring may be challenging, particularly if the perpetrator has himself been subject to torture or other traumatic events.
For more information, please read the refugee health guide, page 16.
