Emergency Preparedness and Response

The Victorian Refugee Health Network (the Network) was among several organisations who were funded in 2023 by DFFH (Multicultural Affairs) to develop and deliver targeted communication and engagement initiatives to support the multicultural communities impacted by the floods in Victoria. The Network believe that it is important that information is shared effectively to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities during emergencies. Please find below a mix of resources that are suitable for CALD community members including people from refugee backgrounds or seeking asylum, when seeking information on matters related to floods, asthma thunderstorms, bushfires, heat waves etc.
