Dr. Karen Linton

Karen has worked in community health in Footscray since 2022. Refugee and asylum seeker health (RAS) has been her special interest and passion; working with new arrivals and their families. Previously she has worked with the Medicare Locals in Melbourne’s West educating GPS in RAS health and more recently the NWMPHN doing education programs with GP’s and GP registrars. She has also been a GP supervisor for the past 15+ years.

Karen previously worked in Darwin (during her training) and volunteered in East Timor and went to Liberia with Médecins Sans Frontières.

Karen has been privileged to work alongside an amazing team of health professionals working together to support and provide healthcare for all. She enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life and the age, gender and cultural diversity that they bring to each consultation
