Umme Jaweria Aleem
Umme Jaweria Aleem is a community advocate and consumer representative on the Executive Group of the Victorian Refugee Health Network (VRHN). In this role, she provides strategic advice, supports community engagement, and contributes to co-design initiatives that enhance culturally safe and responsive health services for refugee and asylum seeker communities. With over four years’ experience in advisory and engagement roles at organisations including the Royal Women’s Hospital and the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, Umme draws on her lived experience and cultural insight to promote equity, amplify community voices, and improve access to inclusive, high-quality health services.
