A total of 1,107 people arrived in the second quarter of 2026 as a refugee or humanitarian entrant (visa subclass 200, 201, 202, 204) and were recorded as residing in Victoria.

Of this, approximately 40.9% of these humanitarian entrants were under 18 years of age.

An estimated 8.8% of humanitarian entrants settled in rural and regional areas of Victoria, with Greater Bendigo named as one of top regional settlement areas.

The Settlement Data Bulletin produced by Victorian Refugee Health Network for the second quarter of 2026 shows some of the settlement trends of people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds arriving in Victoria that may assist in service planning and health interventions.
