Join the next Victorian Refugee Health Network Statewide meeting

Victorian Refugee Health Network Statewide meetings occur three times per year, providing a space to identify sector issues, prioritise areas for shared work and share service innovations. These meetings welcome anyone working in refugee health or supporting people from refugee backgrounds to access health services.

Join a Local Refugee Health Network

Local refugee health networks provide a forum for local area coordination. They set priorities according to the needs and views of their regional membership working on a range of projects to improve referral pathways, health care delivery, and engagement with local communities from refugee backgrounds, including those seeking asylum.

Join a National Network

Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP)

The was established in January 2016 by lead Refugee Health Nurses across Australia. There are Refugee Health Nurses in every state and territory. The RNA has a national focus and provides an opportunity for nurses working with people from refugee background to share resources, be advocates, contribute to clinical guidelines and be involved in community of practice opportunities.

 Refugee Nurse Australia (RNA)

The RNA was established in January 2016 by lead Refugee Health Nurses across Australia. There are Refugee Health Nurses in every state and territory. The RNA has a national focus and provides an opportunity for nurses working with people from refugee background to share resources, be advocates, contribute to clinical guidelines and be involved in community of practice opportunities.

The Refugee Health Network of Australia (RHeaNA)

RHeaNA brings together key representatives from each state and territory working within the policy, clinical and public health realms of refugee health. It was born out of the inaugural National Refugee Primary Health Care conference held in Brisbane in November 2008. The Victorian Refugee Health Network, along with other state representatives, shares information about local trends, challenges, service innovations and research at quarterly RHeaNA executive teleconferences.

The Forum of Australian Services for Survivors of Torture and Trauma (FASSTT)

The Forum of Australian Services for Survivors of Torture and Trauma (FASSTT) is a network of Australia’s eight specialist rehabilitation agencies that work with survivors of torture and trauma who have come to Australia from overseas. Most clients of FASSTT agencies have come to Australia as refugees or humanitarian entrants. FASSTT agencies also work with survivors of torture and trauma who have come to Australia as asylum seekers. There is one FASSTT member agency in each state and territory of Australia.
