The Refugee Women’s Health Community Consultation Project was funded to inform implementation of the Victorian Government’s reform initiatives in Women’s Health. The project, coordinated by the Victorian Refugee Health Network, centres the lived experiences of women from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds in accessing and navigating Victoria’s health system.
The Victorian Refugee Health Network has been funded by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing to develop and deliver targeted communication and engagement initiatives to support the multicultural communities impacted by the floods.
The Victorian Refugee Health Network has produced animation videos to promote the Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals in twelve languages including Arabic, Assyrian, Burmese, Dari, Dinka, English, Hakha Chin, Karen, Rohingya, Swahili, Tamil and Urdu.
The Diverse Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing project is aimed to facilitate engagement of refugee background communities and the service sector in Victoria’s mental health reforms.
